Nicky & Jim Stubbe

Co-Owners of Stubbe & Associates

Nicky & Jim Stubbe’s journey began back in 1986. What started out as building financial security and independent careers within the case management industry has become the national coverage firm Stubbe & Associates is today. While providing medical case management and vocational rehabilitation services to injured/disabled individuals, Nicky & Jim Stubbe’s increasing dedication to establish a culture built on integrity, hire the most experienced and respected people in the industry, treat them well and provide them with the tools and support to effectively do their jobs is what Stubbe & Associates thrives on everyday.

With 27+ years of experience between the two of them, Nicky is an experienced nurse QRC case manager mainly focusing on business development and staff recruitment while Jim concentrates primarily on financial stability operations and corporate structures. He is also the major contact for staff and primary manager of staff development. When they are not busy working, Nicky and Jim enjoy Pheasant hunting along with soaking in the beauty of Grand Marais, Minnesota, vacationing at their cabin on Lake Superior and boating on Lake Minnetonka.

Carrie Zarate is a seasoned professional who handles the account management for our clients located in Wisconsin and the Chicago area. She works diligently to maintain our customer base through outstanding staff performance and marketing efforts, in addition to managing the day-to-day operations of the Wisconsin staff. Carrie not only holds BA and MBA degrees, but also speaks fluent Spanish and brings our team 14 years of leadership experience in Worker’s Compensation claim administration - and 20 total years of industry experience. In her time away from the office, Carrie enjoys traveling.


Kelley A. Solheid

Director of Business Develpoment

Kelley has over 28 years of sales experience and trackable achievement with financial growth for the products she handles. As Director of Business Development for Stubbe & Associates, Kelley builds her success on strategic market planning, a studied knowledge of the Workers’ Compensation industries and charming cold call sales when the situation warrants it. She has built lasting and respected relationships with national and regional companies in the case management industry.

Kelley assures market responsiveness by gathering, monitoring and analyzing market specific data. She is responsible for all service products offered through Stubbe & Associates. Kelley is a leader by example; she is able to set and achieve high, yet realistic goals and objectives. Kelley has been awarded five Circle of Excellence Performance Awards for outstanding sales and leadership performance. Kelley co-founded and is Vice President of the Minnesota Workers Compensation Symposium started in 2008.


Toni Bondeson

Toni Bondeson

Executive Director Client Services

Toni Bondeson brings our team a wide range of expertise, in everything from self-insured employers and TPAs to self-funded groups, national carriers, the vendor procurement process and specialty marketing to brokers for unbundled programs. She offers excellent knowledge of case management, bill review, pharmacy and other programs, along with a deep understanding of catastrophic case management and how to market in the most cost-effective manner to clients. Toni holds a BS and brings us 15 years of workers comp and managed care experience, as the former VP of Sales and Marketing for Care Solutions and the former Director of Saint Luke’s Cancer Institute. In her free time, Toni most enjoys golf, travel, and being involved with non-profit organizations including Susan G. Komen, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and other committees that impact the community with funding opportunities.

Manager of Minnesota Accounts

As our Manager of Minnesota Accounts, Sandi brings a wealth of experience to Stubbe & Associates - offering a unique touch to account management. Her professional expertise and creative personal style are the hallmark of her account management. With degrees in business administration, social work and rehabilitation counseling, Sandi brings our team 24 years of experience working one-on-one with clients to help them reach their goals.


Diane Gilmore

Business Development Representative

Diane has been a part of the Business Development Team at Stubbe since 2011. She’s been an Account Manager in private Rehab Sales for over 28 years. Identifying and resolving customer concerns is extremely important to Diane. The development of strong client relationships with the goal of lifelong business retention is her professional focus. She effectively manages her accounts through consistent follow up and quality checks.

Diane finds success in Business Development through industry specific presentations, sharing Stubbe’s exceptional value, introducing our experienced professional staff, and delivery of the best possible cost savings.
