Stubbe & Associates is a regional medical and vocational case management firm  (www.stubbe.com).  We have recently partnered with a large disability insurer and are looking to recruit a clinical/nurse case manager (CM) to work onsite at the insurer’s downtown Portland location.   The onsite work will encompass approximately 24-40 hours per week, and is on the disability insurance side verses workers’ compensation.

Qualifications: Registered Nurse with experience in medical case management specific to workers’ compensation and high-risk injuries. CCM a plus. Must be assertive, have understanding of state workers’ compensation regulations, good written and verbal communication skills, computer savvy and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel software.

Areas of focus will include onsite prevention and injury/absence management, reasonable accommodation/ergonomic assessments, telephonic case management, early identification of cases needing outside vocational vendor assistance, and working with employer groups to create a seamless transition to vocational services.

Qualifications desired:

• Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, Industrial Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or related field, or a BSN RN certified in occupational health and/or possessing medical/vocational case management expertise
• CRC Certification Preferred (CDMS or CCM consideration)
• Ergonomic certification/credentialing preferred
• Two years experience working with disabled population
• Knowledge of federal and state disability laws regarding access for people with disabilities; specifically ADA and FMLA
• Demonstrated knowledge of community resources for people with disabilities
• Experience in providing consultation and training on disability issues
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Strong experience in, and knowledge of, the vocational counseling process in STD/LTD arena
